Where is Care Provided?

Care is Provided Wherever the Patient Calls Home

The majority of our patients receive routine hospice care in their homes by personal choice. With our support and the expertise of a highly skilled team of hospice professionals, patients can remain at home surrounded by their family and friends as well as the things that provide them the most comfort, for as long as possible.

Care is provided wherever the patient calls home. In addition to a personal residence, we also provide care in local assisted or senior living communities and skilled nursing centers. We work closely and in constant collaboration with these care teams to provide supplemental hospice care and support to the patient and family at the end of life.

When routine care is no longer possible, patients often experience symptoms or pain that cannot be safely managed at home and need a more intensive level of care. We can provide an alternative to hospitalization at our Inpatient Care Center. For a virtual tour of the Charles County Inpatient Care Center, use the button below.

Caring for Your Loved Ones

We understand and value that most people living with advanced illness and its associated symptoms want to remain in their own homes, surrounded by the love of family and friends. In some cases, patients experience pain and symptoms that cannot be safely managed at home and need a more intense level of care.

In response to the needs of our patients and families, we can provide an alternative to hospitalization at our Waldorf Inpatient Care Center. Patients and families benefit not only from the medical care at this state-of-the-art inpatient care center, but the warmth and specialized skill of our hospice team who makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.

The center offers families and patients serene spaces in which to gather with loved ones. A cozy family room and family kitchen offer the comforts of home. This is a general inpatient hospice facility for those who qualify for a more intensive level of care.
