Compassionate Care for Families

Coping with a serious or life-limiting illness can be overwhelming—most people don’t know where to turn. Our team is here to guide you and assist in sorting through the different options available to you. We invite you to learn more about support for patients and families.

Supporting the Whole Family

We understand that a serious illness in a family member impacts every member of the family — body, mind and spirit. Our team accompanies families through the many complex emotional, spiritual and practical issues that are part of illness and death.

Together, our hospice team which includes Physicians, Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Chaplains, Counselors and Volunteers have been there when they are needed most. In, 2020 Hospice of Charles County proudly joined the Hospice of the Chesapeake organization and brand family.

Given our strong local partnerships, renowned expertise, and holistic approach we are uniquely prepared to care for those living with and impacted by life-limiting illnesses. The warmth, skill and experience of our teams ensure patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are at the forefront of the care we provide.

Calvert Hospice joins Hospice of the Chesapeake

We are honored to announce that effective yesterday, June 14, 2022, Calvert Hospice has become part of the Hospice of the Chesapeake organization through a fully executed acquisition agreement.   We believe the beauty and strength of this merger is that it brings together two local nonprofit organizations to further strengthen the access to healthcare available to the citizens of Calvert County.

We are currently caring for 590+ hospice patients and their families every day in Anne Arundel, Charles and Prince George’s Counties and with the addition of Calvert County will reach more than 630+ hospice patients each day throughout our region.
